What exactly is 3D visualization and how can it help my project?

1

3D visualization (or architectural rendering) is the process of creating highly realistic, digital images of a space before it’s actually built. Whether you’re trying to secure planning permission, pre-sell property off-plan, or just get clients to sign off on a design, our renders help people actually see and feel the space instead of trying to decode 2D floor plans.

Where is Quadrant Atelier based? Do you only work locally?

Our studio is right in the centre of Manchester at 125 Deansgate. While we love working with local developers and architects across the North West, we work with clients all over the UK and internationally. We handle everything via video calls and shared folders, but if you're in town, you're always welcome to pop in for a coffee to discuss your project.

What do you need from me to start a 3D rendering project?

3

How much do your 3D visualization services cost?

To get the ball rolling, we usually need your 2D drawings (DWG, PDF, or CAD files), any 3D models you might already have (like SketchUp or Revit), and a basic materials schedule. If you don't have all that yet, don't worry. A mood board, a sketch on a napkin, and a chat about the vibe you're going for is enough to get us started.

How long does it take to create a 3D visual?

4

It really depends on the scale of the project. A single interior shot for a residential room might only take a few days, while a massive exterior fly-through for a commercial masterplan will take a few weeks. Once we see your brief, we’ll give you a hard deadline so you know exactly when to expect the final images.

What does the revision process look like?

We hate surprises, so we keep you involved the whole way. Our standard process includes two main review stages:

  1. The Clay Render: A plain white, untextured 3D model. This is where we agree on the camera angle, lighting, and overall geometry.

  2. The Draft Render: Textures, colours, and landscaping are added. You get to review this and request tweaks to materials or lighting before we hit the final, high-resolution render button

Because every project is completely unique, we don't have a one-size-fits-all price list. The cost depends on how complex the architecture is, how many angles you need, and whether you want static images or animations. Send us an email with a quick overview of your project, and we’ll usually get a custom quote back to you within 24 hours.

Is it cheaper if I provide my own 3D model?

Yes, absolutely. If you have a clean, ready-to-use 3D model (like a SketchUp file), it saves us the time of building the geometry from scratch. We’ll just need to bring it into our software, set up the lighting, apply the realistic materials, and render it out. Let us know what software you use when you request a quote!
